1997	December: Illinois Electric Service Customer Choice and Rate Relief Law signed by Governor
1998	August: 15% rate decrease for residential customers
1999	October: First phase of Choice for business customers over four megawatts and one third other businesses randomly selected by lottery
2000	December: Last phase of Choice for remainder of business customers
2001	January: Business customers eligible to select metering supplier October: 5% reduction in residential customer rates (from 1995 rates)
2002	May: Residential choice allows all residential customers to choose their electric supplier
